I now have 11 of Eliane's CDs, this being the last one bought. This CD includes quite a mix of styles and ironically, I guess because it is the last one bought, it also has what has become my favourite Eliane track of all, as well as the only Eliane track I dislike. Her playing is as good as ever - "Crystal And Lace" and "Jungle Journey" are typical - and the Bosa Nova influence frequently to the fore - "Chega De Saudade" and "Brigas Nunca Mais". "Jumping Fox" reverts back to what I call good Club Jazz with again, some superb fingerwork (Dave Newton and co) and some good crisp bass and drumming. I heard Eliane for the first time during my first evening of listening to Jazz FM with the track "Blue in green". I immediately gave up the radio and called up Amazon on my laptop to discover the large number of CDs this amazing lady has put out. A quick whiz through the MP3 samples for this CD was all I needed. I also sampled "Everything I love" - another "yes!". I couldn't wait for both CDs to arrive. I am relatively new to jazz and jazz piano has quickly become my favourite, and for me Eliane's playing is a joy. I actually like her voice - ok, it isn't Astrud Gilberto, but somehow her duskier voice seems to blend in well with her playing. This is a great CD - "Blue In Green" and "My… Read more
