It's Bludgeoningly, mind-blastingly heavy but perhaps a wee bit - monotonous in places? Still - bloody good heavy rock album.

It's good to get rid of that savage Zakk for a bit. I love the noise Zakk makes, it's exciting, he's very good at 'copying' other people's stuff in his tunes (Pink Floyd, Morrissey), you know - exciting balls to the wall squealing, heavy noises. But is he that musical? Not really. From the start most of his riffs were 1 bar long repeated over and over.

Worth buying. Apparently the 'Deluxe' version isn't worth the money and the sound is poor. This one that I got is perfectly good.

Interesting to hear how much 'Neon Knights' sounds like Triumph's equally exciting 'Too Much Thinking'. It's amazing that the follow-up album 'Mob Rules' was even more awesome. Tony Iommi's sound was so transformed on this record - quite remarkable.

It's not too bad at all. If you love the original trio - get it!

Vivian Campbell is playing as furiously as before and still capable of subtlety and beauty. Dio's voice is superb and most of the songs are fair to good. The AOR/American sounding tracks are a bit painful, but you can skip them. One of these, 'Hungry for Heaven' is a sort of inferior version of 'Mystery' but has it's good points. The title track is incredibly corny and boring - skip that too.

But let's face it, the 'Last in Line' album had a stinker on it: the stupid Judas Priest-like 'I Speed At Night'; and if you like the sound that this lineup makes, it'll be worth the paltry sum you'll pay for it.
