5.0 out of 5 stars A stunning book, 17 Aug 2007
This book is full of stunning photos, maps and facts of some of the most important journeys of mankind. Many I knew about, some were new to me all fascinating. Robin does a great job of telling a back-story, the human story behind the conventional telling of the tale.

The book is heavy and is beautifully made. After reading mine I ordered two more for Christmas presents.

My recommendation is quite simply, if you have an interest in history or exploration this book is the must have reference book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound for the size, 16 July 2007
I have a 30GB iPod video and it compliments it well. It is a small unit however, it feels well made with a good weight making sure it will not topple over. The sound quality is very good, even the bass comes through which is suprising for such a small unit. It can take high volumes without distortion.

There are three inputs in the back of the unit, iPod USB connector, mini stero jack and power. It comes supplied with a mini jack connector (white) but no iPod lead or iPod blank.

The remote control is basic but because it uses RF rather than infra red it opperates from over 30ft away. The limitations in the remote control are due to the iPod rather than the JBL… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Just superb, 8 Feb 2007
I have spent over 1 year waiting to buy the right camera. In that Time I have switched between a Canon and Panasonic as my brand of choice. I finally plumped on the F30 for three reasons;

1. Battery life, it is fantastic, I have filled a 1GB card twice and it is still on full charge from its first charge.

2. Low light capability, ever since I saw some test photos from the F10, I have been convinced about the value os high ISO. At 3200 it is way ahead of others in the sub 200 range. Most of my photos are indoors, birtdays, Christmas, parties etc. It is great for these scenarios. It also has a neat feature that takes 2 photos in quick succession, first at a high… Read more
