I had high hopes, when I watched Lost in Translation. It had a good lead with Bill Murray and reviews made it out to be some kind of relaxing/growing masterpiece. It really isn't. It is a film about two very unlike-able people meeting in Japan and having an affair with one another. That's is really about it, the films soundtrack is particularly trendy with Phoenix and Air to name a couple artists that can be heard.
Other gripes is the films portrayal of Japan, more specifically the Japanese people it's borderline racist. With "humorous" moments reminiscent of the BBC sitcom "Love Thy Neighbour".
The ending is also just lazy.
