The Box of Delights [DVD] DVD ~ Devin Stanfield
The Box of Delights [DVD] DVD ~ Devin Stanfield
5.0 out of 5 stars Certainly 5 stars, 19 Jan 2012
I saw this series when it was first screened and loved it. That was a time when Christmas was slightly less comercialised than it is now and this certainly seemed like something special then. I bought this DVD just because it was so cheap fully expecting that I had just been tricking myself and looking at the past with rose tinted spectacles but the simple truth is that this production like the BBC Narnia series almost a decade later is truly exceptional and unlike many current book to screen crossovers stays very faithful to the book.
Clearly 5 stars

The Amazon description of this title is as follows:
"Two complete classic stories from the Golden Age of DR WHO, featuring the inimitable PATRICK TROUGHTON as The Doctor."
All fine except guess what? They are not complete at all. Given the cost of this you are much better off getting the "Lost in Time" dvd which has those episodes and muc more.
