All Tomorrow's Parties by William Gibson
All Tomorrow's Parties by William Gibson
5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning work, 29 Sep 2000
William Gibson never fails to surpass his already high standards, but this book is stunning! Returning with his now familiar cast of characters Gibson offers a bittersweet third part to his trilogy that spans our possible futures in the US and the Far East. His vision never lets us down, and I dont wont to spoil this for anyone - but dont let this one slip past you.
Many great words have been written about this man. Surely he is worth every one of them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Daring and Provoking, 29 Sep 2000
When Derek Jarman died he left a wonderful legacy in these journals that he published. Modern Nature offers not only an insight in to the thinkings of this truly renaissance man (he was a successful film-maker, artist and theatre designer). It also offered a chance to explore some of the tribulations that he passed through as a gay man, who came to have AIDS.
This is wonderful testimony from a man that must not be forgotten.
Derek Jarman's Garden by Derek Jarman
Derek Jarman's Garden by Derek Jarman

Derek Jarman, british film-maker, artist and activist, found solace in his garden in Dungeness during his final years and this book reflects that passion. It offers a striking view on his thoughts and ideas through the lense of the love and care that he spent of encouraging this oasis on the Kent coast. Mixed with Howard Sooleys powerful photos this book raises itself beyond the usual 'coffee-table' book to something that will be cherished for years to come.
