Having first bought 'Language Barrier' on the advice of some Resident Advisor reviews I acquired 'A Certain Distance' just a few days later, intrigued as to how Lusine's sound would have changed in two years. This is a progression indeed; where Language Barrier transports you into a wonderfully relaxed state, A Certain Distance involves the listener much more with most songs bringing a smile to your face. Songs such as Operation Costs and Double Vision remind me of Zero 7 yet are so much less tiresome after multiple listens; there is greater complexity here and Lusine has painstakingly engineered this album both technically and emotionally. I required Word, Excel, Outlook and OneNote leaving me only two viable options - either Office 2007 Standard Edition plus OneNote 2007 (total cost > £[...]) or Office Home & Student 2007 Edition plus Outlook 2007 (total cost < £[...]). An obvious choice, and it's worth pointing out that OneNote is still a largely undiscovered yet indispensible piece of software, allowing even the most organised of people to effectively collate all of their notes into one place, whether these be task lists; screenshots (known as clippings in OneNote) of literally anything, with intelligent URL capture of 'clipped' web pages; printed documents from any other program (via the OneNote printer driver); etc. A… Read more
