No this is not Trouble and Strife but there are many pictures of Marie Helvin from that book here if that's what turns you on.When I first bought the book I was disappointed realizing it was not by Bailey , I jumped to the conclusion it had been a clobbered together with pics by Bailey to make you buy it. I was so wrong . It is a thoughtful study of photographic technique The text is written by George Hughes , the superb photographs are by Bailey , but correspond to the text and are worth the book in their own right. Some people are saying here to buy T1295 as better value. Don't. Be warned the T1295 with the apple on the packet is for Apple Mac. The Fox on T1285 is for Microsoft. T1295 won't work on Micro as I discovered to my cost. 'Believe me.'

This is the same product sold elsewhere on Amazon [ under a different name] for 60. It is the only strop I use ,and have been using ,since the 1990's. This 'make' is the cheapest I've come across - they are all made by the same people in Germany with different marketers printed on the top; but don't let this put you off , it is a top quality product. Yes , longer strops are easier and quicker to strop and help avoid mistakes [ cutting the leather.] but cost much , much more. For the amateur these are excellent , it's the hide that counts and you soon get used to a short strop. Top quality hide the metal rings are nickel and don't rust.
