5.0 out of 5 stars A truly fantastic book, 21 Feb 2013
I like books. Simple as that. I like e-books and my Kindle makes life easier when I'm on the move. But I like proper, old-fashioned printed books even more. And every so often, one comes along that is so beautifully produced that it could never, ever be as lovely made from pixels. Molly Oldfield's 'The Secret Museum' is one of them.

It's lavishly illustrated with drawings and photos, the layout is beautiful and it stinks of quality. That extends to the content too - primarily why I bought the book, of course. 5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking read!, 1 May 2012
Great debut novel. At times surprising, scary, heart-stopping, melancholy and joyous. Hard to review properly without spoilers but I hope that Mr Peel writes some more. Certainly, his main baddie will DEFINITELY be back I'm sure. Cinematic at times - would certainly make for an interesting film.

Favourite line? 'Michael Dwight was looking uneasily at his underpants.'

We've all been there.

Buy it. Read it. Enjoy it.

I really, really loved this book.

It's full of practical, commonsense advice and step-by-step actions to consider. Loved the 'war stories' from people who'd taken the plunge. Inspirational. I've just done the same myself - given up a steady job of 30 years to pursue making a living from what I love. And it's working. Slowly but surely, I'm achieving the goals I set myself. A brilliant, clever book written in a straightforward plain English style.

Great stuff - I cannot recommend it highly enough.
