I'm the author of Beginning Ubuntu Linux and would like to correct Mr A Gough's review below, which is technically incorrect and misleading. Amazon.co.uk have advised me to create my own review to address these issues.
He suggests that the book is incorrect in places. This is untrue. The book was technically reviewed by John Hornbeck, one of the original members of the Ubuntu documentation team. It was also heavily researched and tested by the book's editor and myself. Mr Gough claims I don't explain how to compile RealPlayer from source.
