WD Red 4TB for NAS 3.5-inch Desktop Hard Drive - O&hellip by Western Digital
I like these so much that I have aquired 2 of the 4TB and 4 of the 3TB drives over multiple purchases. None of the drives have died on me yet and I work them pretty hard in my RAID arrays.

Cons:
* Don't bother running any cables round the back because you will never be able to get the back panel on.
* Comes with very cheap metal thumbscrews which I replaced with spares that have are wider and have plastic outer covering that is easier to grip.
* From what I could see, there really was only one place for a fan, which they have provided for you. I had hoped that I could mount two to the side panel.
* No usb3 front headers.
* the panels that allow access at the back for PCI express ports are ones that "snap off" (non replaceable). This means that once you take one off to slot something in, you cant put it back if you decide to remove that part… Read more

The tactile feel is fantastic. Every button has a definite tactile "clack" to it so so that you can feel that it has registered, and it makes button mashing sounds great too. The trackpad on the very left hand side is somewhat softer though.

The dimensions seem perfect.

The packaging was terrible. It came in a plastic bag you have to tear to open, and within that was the outdated cut-your-hands clear plastic casing that you can only open with a strong pair of scissors or perhaps a box-cutter. The result being that you are going to feel uncomfortable sending it back if you feel like the product was not satisfactory, especially with the extremely long shipping… Read more
