Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter for Wind&hellip by Sabrent
[EDIT: strangely the device now listed and pictured is not the one I purchased. Seller seems to have changed the listing. The device I reviewed has no buttons and is quite small with a C-Media chipset. It's still a 'Sabrent' but no fancy buttons and was selling for cheaper.]

I'm a hifi nut and use parametrically equalised headphones and hifi audio sources (O2/ODAC combo). I got this for my little brother as his onboard sound failed.

It sounds good enough, better than the price would suggest.

It has remarkably low output impedance (which I measured with my multimeter). Even ipods and iphones etc have higher. High output impedance can affect low impedance… Read more
Lcd Digital Probe Food Thermometer Temperature Cat&hellip by BuyinCoins
As well as being quite slow to change reading, it falls out of small pans, unlike my previous wine thermometer which had no such trouble (and an equally large temp range). I couldn't find it, however, so got this one.

It does stay in wine bottles, however, without falling in. Larger necked bottles could be a problem.

And it rolls of the work surface.
Manfrotto MK294A3-D3RC2 294 Aluminium Tripod Kit w&hellip by Manfrotto

It does do the job of stabilising the camera, unlike cheap $20 tripods, but the head doesn't allow precise adjustment even with a great deal of force in an attempt to subdue the jerky movement.

Just trying to get it level (using the onboard bubble-level) is basically impossible, and even getting close takes several minutes of trying. Useless.

The head also doesn't permit portrait orientation *with* up-down movement. that's a significant limitation.

I don't recommend this tripod. It defeats it's own purpose.
