Extremely fast delivery, quicker than expected. Uke is so cute! And strings have lovely mellow sound. Excellent value for money, I am already loving it. Kids want their own now! And at this price they might get them!
Monstar Finds a Home (Early Reader) by Steve Cole
Monstar has quickly become a firm favourite with my five-year-old. This was her reaction on seeing the book for the first time:

"Oh wow, I love it, I love it, I love the front cover!" (Opens book) "there are pictures on EVERY PAGE!" (Reads contents page and then titles listed inside front cover. Finally gets round to reading first two chapters) "Green porridge! Eurgh, disgusting!" (Collapses in fits of giggles at idea of rocket pants. Having read Helen Grant's The Glass Demon and been terrified out of my wits by it, I approached Silent Saturday with some trepidation! I don't read a lot of horror thrillers, but I knew this would be exceptionally well-written - and it was. Veerle is a wonderful character, trapped by her mentally ill mother, who is a typical hypochondriac when it comes to actual health problems but can't see how paranoid and obsessive she is. Whether this paranoia has been triggered by the incident witnessed by Veerle at the age of seven is undecided, but since then Claudine has been more and more desperate to keep her daughter safe at home.
