Firstly, I must say that I consider all these remixes of classic rock masterpieces as somewhat unnecessary. As Steven Wilson himself points out in the E.L.& P. new editions "no matter what improvements we think we've made the fans want to have the original because that's the way they know it and love it". These editions have I.M.H.O. the right approach: Apart the new mixes, there is the original mix remastered (very well) in all its glory.
I must also say that I listen to the music in a good HI-FI stereo equipment, so the 5.1, etc. of the DVD are irrelevant for me.
