I just loved this book..fell in love with each and every character.. cried for Greta, was in awe of the countess.. saddened for Jonah in the final minutes of his life.. heartfelt sympathy for poor Wilma... I could go on..every character touched my heart.. The torment people go through, or went through during the occupation by the Germans in WW2 was felt through every fiber of my being while reading this... This and stories like this keeps the history of the torment so many millions of people went through.. I am now hooked and will read anything by this author.

A great read..emotional roller coaster and didn't want the story to end.. Loved ALL of the characters...
