I'm not going to review the film itself as there are plenty of excellent ones out there, but for what it is worth, I love the film and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy so I couldn't wait for the Extended edition to arrive on Blu-ray. And I'm pleased to say it is worth the wait.

My first impression was that the packaging is rather nice. The outer sleeve is thick and made of good quality cardboard. The front of the box is a hologram photo of Martin Freeman whilst the five discs come in a black plastic Amaray case rather than the standard blue. All in all it feels like a quality package and it now sits proudly on my bookcase.

My earphones of choice when travelling have always been Shure in-ear ones and from a sound quality perspective I still believe them to be unbeatable. But they do tend to be uncomfortable after a period of time, not to mention they get a bit grubby, so I decided it was time to get some headphones. After much shopping around and trialling different headphones I opted for these because of the good reviews, the portability of them and of course the price. As a couple who travel alot, we wanted a small scrabble set to carry with us on holiday we have found that the "Travel Scrabble" sets are a bit bulky and not that well designed. So I bought this with trepidation.

However, so far I am pleased. The case is very compact (no larger than a paperback book) and comes with a small green felt bag, a set of magnetic tiles and the four tile holders which slot under the board when not in use. It is a plastic 'clamshell' design which helps save on space and means you can close it mid-game and continue later if you wish.
