4.0 out of 5 stars Good introduction, 26 Mar 2004
The short lessons are direct and clear. Toni Cannelli focus on the basics and gives many examples. Not a lot of material is covered so it would be good if the series continued with other DVD's. I would say it is a good buy for beginners not for intermediate students. The included audio CD with playalong music is very good and a great help to practice.
The Quantum Brain: The Search for Freedom and the &hellip by Jeffrey Satinover

The Quantum Brain by J. Satinover is an inspiring book on the subject of intelligence and life in general. The author take us in an elegant trip from basic brain theory to very surprising new explanations on how life and intelligence developed. The book does not avoid hard questions and answers them in a coherent manner with the help of quantum mechanics. Satinover presents a new point of view that will surely set the direction of brain research in the next century. Read this book and meditate on how matter relates to the nonphysical and how causality must base itself on the uncaused to allow us free will.
PHP3: Programming Browser-based Applications (UNIX&hellip by Dave Medinets
David Medinets's book is a good overview of the basic subjects involved in Intranet and Internet development from the PHP standpoint. Without loosing himself in details he shows the way to face real-world programming issues. The book is useful to professional programmers that have a good knowledge of WEB technology and need a start text on PHP3. The given Internet resources list and the CD-ROM are important additions.
