Sky Sports Football Yearbook 2011-2012 by Glenda Rollin
4.0 out of 5 stars Premier Obsession, 25 Jan 2012
I am a Rothmans/Sky sports nut! The latest version contains the usual statistics fest, however like the last reviewer the coverage of the much derided Europa League is totally excessive and uses up valuable space. As does the 'Cups and Ups and Downs diary' which is dull and merely repeats what is already covered within the book. All of this is at the expense of non league coverage. For years the Rothmans always covered the non leagues. I wonder if the Sky Sports sponsorship has had some influence with its Premiership obsession? The yearbook is aimed at British football fans and the long term authors would do well to remember that, and particularly the many thousands of non league fans out… Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Lazy!, 17 July 2009
Sorry but they really have lost their mojo! This is utterly lazy and how long can they keep on sampling Beatles segments (they must run out soon) with the latest being the classic 'Dear Prudence'. I suppose that if people keep buying their albums, then why should they attempt to change. Fair enough, but this is the last Oasis album I will buy. Ya know, Oasis ARE capable of dabling in other genres as seen by the odd punk inspired song on 'The Masterplan' album. Overall, 'Definately Maybe' now seems very, very distant.
Insomnia [DVD] [2002] DVD ~ Al Pacino
Insomnia [DVD] [2002] DVD ~ Al Pacino
Overall, just a cracking thriller. Watching Al Pacino suffering from the said title, makes me and my wife feel knackered just watching him, which just reflects how superb his performance is! The attempt by Robin Williams' character to attempt to strike a chord with Al Pacino's sympathies is fascinating and the acting throughout is faultless. As per usual the direction by Christopher Nolan is inventive and polished. I haven't seen the original, but taken purely on its own merits I think this is a great film and takes pride of place in my DVD collection.
