4.0 out of 5 stars Burning questions, 2 Dec 2009
The merits of this book have already been pointed out elsewhere. To start off, let me highlight those which (to me) are the most important ones:

The uncredited actors sections are outstanding (I'd spotted "Paul Cantwell" in other shows such as "The Sweeney" and "Quiller", and now that I know who he is I sleep better!). The cover design is amazingly good. The tome is replete with good photographic material (although it includes many screen shot fillers, particularly explosions, and the paper is too flimsy to make it stand out). 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb reference book, 1 Dec 2009
I'm not particularly into Doctor Who but this tome was a most welcome addition to my TV book shelf. It contains a collection of priceless behind the scenes information and rare location photographs (Douglas Camfield, Christopher Barry and Pennant Roberts directing, to give but a few examples), compiled with care and competence. No fanciful writing by some self-important scribe, which I find refreshing. A highly interesting combination of facts, comments and analyses - the pages of my copy are by now well thumbed! Congratulations to all involved for a remarkable achievement. If there's a follow-up I'm your man.

This is BBC studio drama (and an early test run for colour transmission) so if you can't sit on yer bum and listen for five minutes then you'd better move on. Why watch Temple? First of all there's the amazing chemistry between the two leads, the eminently likeable Francis Matthews and the stunningly beautiful Ros Drinkwater. Some of the stories are excellent, although more often than not quite different from traditional Durbridge material. Add to that extensive filming in a variety of European locations and a long list of always watchable guest… Read more
