I checked the book against the 2011 and 2012 Key Stage 2 Level 6 papers. Out of the 50 questions set in 2011, only 29 of the topics were covered. Out of the 50 questions set in 2012, 32 of the topics were covered. Concepts such as solving equations with more than one unknown, trial and improvement, interpreting real-life graphs, using Algebra to calculate areas, volumes of cuboids, isometric drawings, all of which were questions on the 2011 and 2012 papers, were not covered. Even the topics which were covered, a number were not covered in sufficient detail, reflecting the more in-depth reasoning expected at Level 6, to enable the questions to be answered successfully.
