Well, I have ploughed through this book, and put it down/picked up again several times while doing so, just couldn't see what was so achingly funny or unputdownable etc, as some reviewers seem to think it is. It is VERY repetitive, in parts quite boring, quite a lot doesn't actually mean much to the reader, unless you had quite a bit more info on what she is on about, or could see the other half of the (written) conversations. Not really a nanny either, more of a mother's help in the household. Not deserving of so many 5 stars really - how many were given the book to review I wonder?? - and even though I adore AB and have all his books I didn't even get much of a sense of him, or many of… Read more

a lovely facsimile of the book printed many years ago, with gorgeous colour print illustrations by Russell Flint, and the full libretto. Lovely gift for someone who loves G & S.

I have recommended these to many people, they are a traditional herbal type medication that actually works. Clear nose and throat very well indeed after a cold.
