The 2nd Cycle of the Darc Murders Collection (the &hellip by Carolyn McCray
"Wow", "Eeww", ick", OMG", WTF?" and "That's just wrong that is" are a few thoughts that ran through my head while reading this. Just awesome!
Darc, Trey and little Janey and the gang are back with a bang (literally) and the body count is climbing. I've been waiting for this next "cycle" since reading the first Darc series last year, and it didn't disappoint, with more weird deaths, twisted psycho killers and gruesome crime scenes than you can shake a stick at.

The Body and the Blood: a John Jordan Mystery Book&hellip by Michael Lister
Wow, poor John Jordan, he's certainly got his work cut out for him on this case!
The main story is a seemingly impossible murder taking place inside a locked cell, but this latest book is so full of revenge, set-ups, kidnapping, multiple suspects with multiple motives and more twists and turns than you can shake a stick at, that I had no idea "who-dunnit"
Not to mention the whole love triangle with the now married high school sweetheart and the ex/not-ex wife" and her dysfunctional family.
A fantastic read from start to finish, kept me turning pages for hours.

The main character is likeable and its easy to slip into his head. Yes he's a preacher, but not some sanctimonious Bible basher; rather he's as flawed and damaged as anyone else. He's been through a tough time and has his own closet full of skeletons, so strives to carry out his work with compassion instead of brimstone and judgement.
A really well thought out plot, some truly despicable characters, and squirm-worthy scenes,… Read more
