The Black Farmer Cookbook by Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones

Britain BC: Life in Britain and Ireland Before the&hellip by Francis Pryor

Britain BC provides a good introduction to the pre-Roman era. Francis Pryor has a relaxed style of writing that gently leads you through his thoughts on prehistory. This book has broadened my understanding of a world that had previously existed only as sketchy memories of primary school history lessons. If you are new to this part of history, the book provides a good start to improving your knowledge. There is a lot to take in and it is not always easy to relocate points that you wish to refer back to (although there is an index at the back of the book). Some sub-headings within each chapter would have been useful. However, overall it is an interesting and enjoyable book.
