I have been waiting for some time for a book like this to be published and at last someone has!!! As a student going out on different placements can be extremely daunting; full only of lecture based theory and little actual experiences to hang this theory from. This book puts these two together for you.

It is pocket sized beginning with placement preparation and what to expect, along with obtaining your first physiotherapy post. This pocketbook with wipeclean cover, provides a quick reference book of taping techniques for different areas of the body and conditions. An introduction is followed with a literature update, pain relief taping and recent techniques followed by chapters by body area.

Each technique is shown over a spread of two pages, broken up into: indications for use, purpose, materials required, application and any contraindications. This is supported with clear diagrams showing how the tape should be applied. This makes it very simple and clear as to how to apply the techniques. This book launched in the new physiotherapist's toolbox range provides a hardback spiral bound reference book on clinical tests that can be used to aid interpretation of presenting problems.

Ideal for the student, newly qualified or those returning to the specialism after some time away. It includes well over 100 tests including nerve integrity tests, neurodynamics and myotome testing.
