Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Slayer Collection (S&hellip DVD ~ James Marsters
4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Gift, 7 Jan 2008
This review is primarily in response to those asking the question of "What is the Point?" and "Why are Fox becoming so consumerist?". I have little bad to say about the entire range of the Slayer Collection. These are fantastic dvds with a wonderful handful of episodes each. Whilst being redundant for the avid Buffy fan who has all of the boxsets already, it's perfect as a gift for that special someone or just a friend for whatever occasion if they enjoyed Buffy on TV but wouldn't have the time to watch or the funds to buy the actual series.

I have nothing bad to say about this season. The quality of the first two continues. The conspiracy deepens and their are some first rate stand alone episodes. There just isn't anything new or groundbreaking here to be honest.
The first down right funny episodes apear here as well. "War of the Coprohaghes" and "John Chung's From Outerspace" which both take a comedic stance on the content and characters of the series.

Season 2, all of a sudden the bigger picture begins to unfold and the mythology that would prove to make X Files one of the most succesful sci fi shows ever is laid down.
Like season 1, this season has a wonderful collection of stand alone episodes, but the best thing about this season is that it serves as the perfect introduction to the conspiracy. Colony and End Game are the best two episodes here. Arguably this season is essential to the mythology.
