Drawing and Painting People: A Fresh Approach by Emily Ball
4.0 out of 5 stars Eagerly anticipated, 13 Sep 2013
As a practicing artist and teacher of art there is always the need to explore new ways of creating powerful images and of finding ways to pass these on to students. This book is well written, lavishly illustrated and full of stimulating ideas for using and sharing.
Perelandra (The Cosmic Trilogy) by C. S. Lewis
5.0 out of 5 stars A cosmic classic, 13 Sep 2013
Having read this book several times as a library book I wanted my own copy to hand for future re-reads. The writing is charming in it's early 20th Century style It's imaginative descriptions of the characters and their environment are beautiful;
sometimes scary but always powerful. Lewis's power to visualise a world similar to this one but untouched by evil is second
to none. There is always the a sense that behind the fantasy of this story there is a reality waiting to be discovered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drawn to read, 13 Sep 2013
Having read and used Jeffrey Camp's other book, Paint, and found it most useful in teaching practice I
was delighted to find copies of 'Draw' available on Amazon. It is stimulating and full of useful approaches to drawing for beginers and more experience students of art. Well worth a place on any library or personal book shelf.
