This is just one of those books that you just have to read over and over again (I've already read it twice and I only got it a few weeks ago.)
I don't recommend reading it before you've read "Crown Duel" but that isn't exactly torture as that's great as well. Although personally I liked this one better.
"Court Duel" is about Mel Astiar who became a bit of a heroine in the war against Galdran in the first book. In this book though, she has to go to court for her brother's marriage. But unfortunatly, she knows absolutly nothing about how to act in court so she makes a mess of everything.
