I've been going through a phase recently of buying tv series from the 80s and 90s which turned out to be not quite as good as I remembered them. And I am now SO glad I did!!
The team behind Saturday Night Live were involved so the humour is quick and slick, occasionally surreal and hits the mark SO many times, and there are guest slots from everyone from Bill Murray to Devo, The Waitresses and bizarrely the drummer from The Doors even appears at various points, and I have to say this has been 19… Read more

I loved this book back at school and was pleased to find it on cd being performed by an actor whose name I knew from various things over the years. Sadly this is all there is, one very funny and surreal run of wonderfully animated nonsense set in the world of Siegfried and Roy. The computer animation was cutting edge at the time and would probably be cheaper to produce these day, but its ship has sailed and how I wish it would come back. Either messrs S & R were very good sports about being sent up in such a childishly innocent, utterly mad way, or they didn't know what was happening to their names! It's a bizarre world where animals live like a glamorous borough from Neighbours, and real magic is as normal as out-there conversations. I wish this could have been resurrected like Family Guy was, but sadly no. So do buy this before it… Read more
