Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe DVD ~ Kathy Bates
I saw this film many years and enjoyed it from the start, good story line, great cast, good to look at, and story flows at a pace that keeps you engrossed. The main plus point for the film is the between the two sets of lead actresses, with Jessica Tandy probably stealing the plaudits from her younger counterparts. This is a film not for everyone but if you think it appeals to you watch it, you will not be disappointed.
Oh What A Lovely War DVD ~ Richard Attenborough
Oh What A Lovely War DVD ~ Richard Attenborough
watching it again after a significant gap the film still resonates, and the dream cast are superb in their roles. The one sad point was realising just how many of them are no longer with us or suffering infirmities that stop them form working today. I knew some people who saw the original show at the Theatre Royal Stratford and were not sure about the film, I have seen a stage version and the film and find them equally compelling.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Finale, 31 Aug 2014
I really enjoyed this film which also in view events this week provided the perfect finale for Lord Attenborough. Interesting storyline to connect both WW2 and the Irish troubles. Beautifully crafted, a cast to dream for who performed at the top of their ability and the films locations shots looked great. If you have not seen it don't waste time and do so.
