This film, shot in 1942, was made in one day. It is an all time classic beyond criticism.
Does the Blu-ray match? Answer yes.
It's transfer to Blu-ray is faultless and enhances all the classic facial shots and more.

Season 6 restores this as a masterpiece.
Following the dire season 5 that nearly lost the viewers season 6 proves he is still very much worth watching.
This is great from the start.

This was a brilliant Stephen King book that had potential to be a film classic. Stanley Kubrick was clearly a genius.
Sadly, for me, Jack Nicholson input too much comedy twist. The scene as used for the cover in particular. This was supposed to be scary and yet i can remember people laughing in the cinema at this part, and i don't mean nervous laughter.
The arguments about which version is best is easy:
A. The UK version, which is shorter in film length, was Kubrick's preferred cut, enough said.
B. The US version is longer because Stephen King wanted extra scenes to help the american audience understand the film, again enough said.
