Fiesta Crafts My Calender Interactive Wallhanging by Fiesta
This is a great resource for teaching the calendar days/months/years, the changing seasons and the weather.

I bought this interactive calendar for my classroom and the kids love it. Children in the older classes can use it independently, younger children can learn to recognise the days of the week, numerals and colours from it; you can use it for teaching before/after too. Everyone loves looking outside to check the weather before deciding what will be put on the chart. It looks great too!

This is a great teaching resource. You can either read the book as a class novel, from start to end, or dip into it and pick out stories to suit your lesson theme. I have use the book with P3 to P7 children and it has been well received by all. The short philosophical stories are based on old tales but are retold with a twist. Through them children learn about moral values and being a responsible citizen. A fabulous book for circle time discussions.

This book introduces children to the historical topic of William Wallace in a fun and fact filled manner, giving much detail about the blood and guts spilled during this bloody time. It is written in an easy to understand vocabulary and discusses the exaggeration of stories through time (like Wallace supposedly fighting a lion) and the different faces of Wallace (no one really knows what he looked like) with many humorous illustrations throughout.

A fantastic way of getting children around 8 years old and over interested in history.
