Parov Stelar never fails to deliver with his prolific releases of terrific dancefloor friendly Nu-Jazz Dance Fusion Ep's & Lp's. Many consider him to be one of Vienna's best kept secrets!

Rough Cuts is his first full album and is an absolute must for friends of smoked beats, jazz and house! After two years of hard labour and a lot of finishing touches in late-night-turning-early-morning sessions, the head of Etage Noir Recordings presents an album which deliciously floats between Old school Jazz and modern Hip Hop Break.

Scarlett Road House ~ Briskey

The follow up to the 1st album, and beats it by far! Then again, what would you expect from top quality musicians!

More of the brassy beats, double-thick basslines, rich vocal samples from film noir, and dance-floor grooves!

See review of 1st album, Cucumber Lodge, for more about their sound, nu-jazz with a twist of latino, electronica-infused!

One of the most qualitive productions released in a long time, with plenty of depth to keep you coming back to it over and over!

And when the dancefloor goes mad to the sound of Briskey you will be able to say to your friends, "That's Briskey'" ;-)

But man, does Briskey shine! I first heard the track Galactic Jack on the Buscemi compilation, Late Night Reworks Vol. 1, and considered it one of the best tracks on the double cd!

It was only inevitable that someday I would have to get my mitts on some more Briskey material! Sooo glad that I did, as it has become an integral part of my dance/electronica collection.

Fits right in there with the likes of Quantic, Diesler, Flevans, The Herbalizer, Jon Kennedy, Zero Db, Jukka Eskola, Coldcut, to name a few!

Also, word on… Read more
