This is an excellent value tablet that is simple to set up and have in use within a couple of minutes of getting it out of the box. The screen is excellent, certainly as good as - if not better - than any other tablet I have seen, including the new i-pads. I still prefer the Kindle Paperwhite as a book reader purely because of its lighter weight and longer life battery, but this is as good as it gets in tablets, and you get colour which is useful for magazines. I have 2 criticisms of the Fire. The first is that it could do with cameras front and back facing so that you could use it as a camera and see what you were taking a photo/video of, and the second is that I miss a little… Read more

This overall is an excellent book which highlights the most important periods of American history from an author that obviously knows his subject and knows how to make it accessible to the reader. The only flaw in this book comes as it approaches the modern era where the personal right-wing views of the author begin to overshadow his objectivity.
