Oh, it's a western? I like westerns. It's long? That's good. It has strong violence and excessive use of the N-word? Hey, whatever, as long as it's a good film.
And yes, I'm a Tarantino fan.
'Django Unchained' is the story of a freed slave (Fox) in the mid-19th century, who travels across the U.S. with a bounty hunter (Waltz) to rescue his wife from a slave owner (DiCaprio).
The best thing about 'Django Unchained' is Leo DiCaprio's performance - it's possibly his best ever. Contradiction? No, we've been here before: Gary Oldman was spell-binding as Dracula in Coppola's version, but the film overall was nothing special.
