The movie is about loans official Christine (newcomer Alison Lohman who clearly has great potential). After refusing an extension on a loan for an old woman named Mrs. Ganush, the vile old bag puts a curse on her.

`Slumdog Millionaire' is a story about the victory of 18 year old Jamal (Dev Patel) winning the Indian equivalent of `Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'.
Jamal lives in the slums of Mumbai, he enters the show purely so that he can be reunited with the love of his life, childhood friend Latika (newcomer Freida Pinto).
The night before his win he is captured & interrogated by police who can't believe a Slumdog could be so knowledgeable, here they go through each question & the viewer sees in flashbacks the events that in Jamal's life that gave him the answers.
Jamal has lived a life of extreme Dickensian poverty laced with pain & betrayal, it's physically impossible to… Read more
