Salter 484 Mechanical Bathroom Scale with Magnifyi&hellip by Salter
1.0 out of 5 stars Wildly inaccurate, 27 Aug 2014
Scales arrived promptly and I had high hopes, as Salter is a well known brand. I've had issues in the past with digital scale batteries so I thought mechanical scales would be a better option. I zeroed them and stepped on, and was horrified at what they told me! I tried again, same result. I tried them in a different location just in case the floor wasn't quite level - same result. Oh well, I must just have put on more weight than I realised...since then, I've been on a diet & exercise regime, and have gone down a dress size and toned up a lot. Has my weight changed throughout this? Not according to these scales. My husband tried them, and apparently he is 3 stone heavier than he thought -… Read more
Speedo - Biofuse Aquatic Earplugs Speedo
I swim several times a week, and am very prone to ear infections. Since having these, I've not had an infection, and have had much less trapped water in my ears. They are small and a bit fiddly, and I had to experiment with positioning to get them comfortable for a full session, but I wouldn't swim without them now. I also wear a swim cap, and the lack of instructions with the earplugs meant that the first few times I tried them, I positioned the spike pointing downwards. This led to them popping out during my swim session as my hat started to slide a bit after about 30 mins hard swimming. I then re-positioned them with… Read more
Intex Dive Aquatic Balls by Intex
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for pool!, 27 Aug 2014
As another reviewer noted, these are pretty small in size, but for me, that is an advantage! I keep them in my daughters' swim bag, and use them frequently in the pool. The "seaweed" is easy for small hands to grab, and they are small enough to put in a pocket of swim shorts, or even tuck into a swimsuit if needed. My 4yr old daughter has great fun with these, and loves diving for them. They are good enough quality to be used fairly regularly, although they won't last forever. If you are looking for a fun addition to your pool toys, or want something fun for holidays, I'd recommend (they are also light enough not to impact any suitcase packing issues).
