Moose Baby by Meg Rosoff
Moose Baby by Meg Rosoff
Bought this for my 13 year old dyslexic daughter in a bookshop having found a section with a handful of dyslexic friendly books, and this was the one which looked least 'childish' in terms of storyline.

The format, cream/yellow paper, text font etc, clearly makes a difference as it was evidently easier than usual to read, and she read it in less than a day - which as you'll know if you have dyslexia is not easy or common.

The story itself is a bit wierd, but engrossing enough to maintain interest - the rating is probably a combination of 5 star for the format, and 3 star for the content.
SquareTrade 3-Year Warranty Plus Accident Protecti&hellip by SquareTrade
Unless you've ever made a claim, any insurance review is worthless. I have had to make a claim on squaretrade for a broken ipod touch, which was paid for very quickly, and enabled me to get a replacement within a few days. Have been Thomas fans for years, and bought this for our youngest. Getting Pierce Brosnan to do the narration was a dreadful error, and I note they haven't done it since - and if they do I hope the guys running Hit Entertainment go bust they'd deserve to.

Not sure what it is about feature films, but this is basically the second bad mistake in the Thomas franchise, only outdone by the first feature film with the girl from Matilda and various other expensive actors but not much plot and the pointless introduction of a 'lady' train - Britt Allcroft has done us all proud over the years, so we'll forgive her that particular foible.

If I could buy a new audio soundtrack for… Read more
