This book just didn't cut it for me. With a couple of exceptions, the photos throughout are snapshot calibre and, for a book on photography, there aren't really enough photos. Also, while they include a bit of technical detail with the photos, the focal length (or lens used) for the photo is never stated.
I suggest "Photographing New York City - Digital Field Guide" in preference to this title.
I've had this product for a couple of years now, and generally it's worked fine. In the past, I had some difficulty with getting the operating system to recognise it - sometimes requiring it to be unplugged and re-plugged in again, but that wasn't a great problem. However, for the past 6 months it has been turning itself off halfway through Skype conversations. The time it would take to do this was variable, but in an hour-long conversation, it would do it 2-3 times; the connection would still be present and I could still hear and see the other party, but had to resort typing back to them. I bought this product on the back of the generally good reviews it has received. It has worked intermittently since arriving, every day generating an error code "Err", which I think is a result of cat food getting jammed in the mechanism somewhere. The cat food we use is Royal Canin Kitten, and the pieces are fairly small. However, the pieces in the rest of the Royal Canin range don't seem to be any bigger... Andrew James have offered to take it back, but I am reluctant to return it because it seems to be one of the best products on the market. I would be very grateful if people could answer:
