ZOOM B2 Amplifiers Effects Bass multi effects by Zoom
5.0 out of 5 stars On my 2nd., 15 May 2014
I cannot knock this effects pedal. I've gigged with it and it has never let me down. Some of the presets are kind of lame but you can always design your own to your particular requirements. This is very easy to do once you realise how all the patches affect the sound. It's sturdy and withstands the usual stage madness. My first one still works perfectly apart from the drum machine element which is no great loss, but after a gig under the arches at London Bridge Station the dust in the old crypt managed to get inside and prevent it from working. I bought a new one because I had managed to lose a couple of the knobs at the top!
The Velvet Underground ~ Velvet Underground
The Velvet Underground ~ Velvet Underground
This LP always gets a bad press because it is not seen as the classic line-up but most of the original members are here and there are some bona-fide Velvet masterpieces on this. Worth it for Pale Blue Eyes alone but other memorable stuff on here too (Beginning to See The Light and Candy Says amongst others). Admittedly John Cales experimental edge is missing and we are moving away from the Art Rock blueprint but this still has that Velvet quality we have come to expect after the first two studio albums.

I'm a sucker for these classic fanzine compendiums and We Got Power is a well put together book with reprints of all the issues and background stories to put it all into context. I had a We Got Power compilation LP years ago when I first discovered US hardcore but never had the chance to see a copy of the actual fanzine. Never thought I would but now it sits with my Sniffing Glue and Touch & Go. Equally as good as both of those. Thumbs up.
