1.0 out of 5 stars Good title, bad read!, 19 Aug 2012
Albeit being a Muslim woman living in a foreign country just like Amal, I must say that this book is a let-down. I could not relate with any of the characters because most of their conversations seemed too good to be true. The author tries (but fails) to portray an image of teenage girls with too many unnecessary 'oh boy'. As a reader, this book did not develop me. If you want a good teenage story look for 'catcher in the rye'!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible, 28 Oct 2010
A novel is either yummy, or terrible. This one is worse than terrible! The author is too detailed and too boring. I could not relate to any of her characters and I am sorry to say that after half way through, I had to give up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, 25 Feb 2010
The beauty about this book is that it gets to the point without the jargon. I simply loved it. The illustrations are amazing and there is art in every picture and every word. It is also funny and will make you laugh! The best thing about it is that you can give it as a gift when you are done with it. I promise that you will find something amazing that you can do to change the world after reading this book.
