5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and effective, 5 Nov 2013
I use a single in-ear bud while cycling and have spent the last year or so wrapping the cable around the top of my ear to help keep it in place (taping is for pros only!).

This little chap takes all that wrapping away as it basically clips the ear bud body onto that little flap of skin just above the ear canal of the auricle of the ear. Once fitted, the ear bud certainly feels nice and secure and certainly with normal use I get the impression it is definitely going nowhere soon.

The BudLok itself is extremely comfortable (in fact you won't really know it's there), seems to block out a little more wind noise, and means you don't have to shove the ear-bud so far into the… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Get the right size, 29 Oct 2013
First of all - lots of reviews say you need to get a size bigger then normal. My advice - get your feet measured at somewhere that sells Merrells, try a few pairs on and then buy the right size. A bit cheeky if you don't buy them from the store but......

I'm on my fourth or fifth pair of these - not because they wear out quick, because they are so good.

I wear these most days during spring and summer, probably walking 3 to 4 miles a day in them over various surfaces including grass, tarmac, gravel, dirt and carpet. Generally they are very comfortable and the soles are strong enough so that walking over stoney ground is no problem. Grip is good unless you're wandering… Read more

Although fun to run around swiping away at flying monsters - beware.

Small house fly type stuff is stunned/killed quite effectively when you finally hit them provided the batteries aren't flat.

Bigger stuff is more likely just to get a headache. Wasps for example get quite angry and start chasing you which is where the next drawback comes in.
While running around the house waving an electrically charged tennis racket, try not to take out things like TVs, lamps and coffee mugs.
