3.0 out of 5 stars Rock Steady?, 11 Feb 2014
11 of the 17 tracks here are reggae rather than rock steady.

Soul Jazz do a great job in getting the music out to casual fans but please don't insult those of us who have been collecting and listening to Jamaican music for 30 years or more.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Sublime Northern Soul, 26 Dec 2004
March 2005 will see the 35th anniversary of the passing of Darrell Banks, brutally gunned down aged only 32 in 1970.
But he left us with a catalogue of some of the greatest soul music ever committed to wax. This set includes the Northern classics "Our Love Is In The Pocket", "Angel Baby" and "somebody Somewhere Needs You"(also covered by Ike & Tina Turner).
Even if you don't know the first thing about soul music, you need this album!
