1.0 out of 5 stars Just awful!, 16 Oct 2012
There is one quote that sums this book up perfectly. And that is 'my very own Christian Grey-flavored popsicle'. I laughed for about half an hour over that! This book goes beyond bad and well into funny territory. Read it when you are drunk!
Spirit of Locomotion: The National Railway Museum &hellip by Anthony Coulls
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant little book!, 29 May 2012
Our family love Locomotion, and we take our son there a lot, so this was a must buy. The book is perfect for little hands as it's quite small (about the size of the proper Rev W Awdry books) and the little man loves looking through it pointing out all the engines he recognises. Anthony has taken some really cracking pictures. Great for all sizes and ages of steam enthusiast!
Legacy: The Acclaimed Novel of Elizabeth, England'&hellip by Susan Kay

I agree with other reviewers here - this is the best novel about Elizabeth I have read, and I have read a lot of them! Both Elizabeth and Robert Dudley are very three dimensional here, and you can begin to understand Elizabeth for the brilliant but damaged woman that she was. I thought the description of her relationship with Mary was very well done. Mary is also given a role other than the tyrant of history - she also had a terrible and ultimately very sad life. Despite knowing the story very well, I still found the book generated suspense and excitement, and even the occasional laugh. Wonderful.
