C# 5.0 in a Nutshell: The Definitive Reference by Joseph Albahari
5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Reference, 16 Nov 2013
This is now the third edition of this book that I have owned and have been using them for years. These are very well written and provide excellent guidance on most aspects of the .NET Framework. Recommended for any C# developer
Exam Ref 70-484: Essentials of Developing Windows &hellip by Indrajit Chakrabarty
This book was a good reference for passing the 70-484 exam up until 19 Nov 2013. If you have experience writing Windows Store applications then reading and understanding this book should have you ready for the exam.

There is one warning though. This book covers Windows 8 and as of 19 Nov 2013 this exam and 70-485 both have additional questions for 8.1 development. Its a shame it took Microsoft so long to get these books out, as they now need updating. That said Microsoft do provide plenty of detail online for the new features, so just be careful to study those as well.

The book does cover a lot of information, I just wish it… Read more
