This is the second book from Alex that I’ve read recently and I really like his style. There is no fluff, no padding, just the relevant facts along with the right background information so that it all makes sense. The Red Baron was a thoroughly good, informative read, and I highly recommend it. I look forward to seeing more of Alex’s work
A ‘no frills’ look into what was a remarkable operation.
The facts are all there and they are presented in a very readable manner. Anyone wanting to know what happened during Operation Chastise on the night of 16–17 May 1943 would do a lot worse than to use this book as a starting point.
