Gnome or Mr Nice Guy (The Rooks Ridge Series) by Rosalind Winter
4.0 out of 5 stars Good to gnome you, 5 July 2014
A good follow up to Ready, Steady, Dig.
An interesting mix of who done it, gentle comedy and Roman Lares.
Enjoyable easy reading. Great for my holiday.
I'm looking forward to the next installment.
The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathon Fairfax by Christopher Shevlin
I was astonished. And I'm not Jonathan Fairfax.
Worth every penny of the vast fortune that I handed over to Amazon to obtain the pleasure of reading an author I had previously never heard of.
An unusual romp around north London with oddly mismatched characters that are oddly believable.
I'm looking forward to reading more from C Shelvin Esq.
Ready, Steady, Dig! (The Rooks Ridge series Book 1&hellip by Rosalind Winter
4.0 out of 5 stars A delightful surprise, 3 July 2014
I confess to not having high expectations when I bought this book and had not come across Rosalind Winter before. But what a delightful surprise of a book Ready, Steady, Dig turned out to be.
An inventive premise, populating a story with Roman Lares and bringing them so artfully and playfully to life.
Easy writing and an engaging take makes for easy and engaging reading. So engaging, in fact, that I went straight to th tree next in the Rooks Ridge series.
