I came across this album while searching for something quite different but being intrigued as to what it might entail, I downloaded and listened.

It turns out its rather fantastic, with a collection of live and recorded tracks by "amateur" artists which have actually eclipsed anything I've heard a major produce for quite some time.

There's a range of singer songwriter productions sitting alongside fuller bands and the songwriting and performances are top notch throughout.

It's hard to pick out any favourite but if I had to it would be the Mr Keep Calm track which sits mature, well sung lyrics along side a sparse but effective acoustic guitar and upright bass… Read more

Yes this is strange and definetly not like any other comedy (of indeed any tv show) I can think of but it remains a lost classic. Lauded by critics on its initial airing and then buried by the BBC in the schedules of a then obscure freeview channel (BBC Choice, now BBC3), most people probably havent seen it. But as another reviewer mentions, BBC3 constantly repeats little britain even now most people are bored of it so why not this one? Sean Lock's profile is much higher and there is a host of other comedy talent on board. Mark Lamarr, Peter Serafinwic and others that I dont know the names of ...sorry! But you'll be going "It's him, look!"

The laughs come quite often even… Read more
