Ok, I admit, Its taken me this long to buy the DVD's, the impending AD movie (2010), made me finally buy them and I'm really glad I did, I've been glued to the TV ever since.

First things first, this show isnt for everyone, the jokes arent pitched up by one character so that the others can knock them out of the park with a hilarious (if somewhat obvious) punchline or a Chandler-esque one-liner which is endemic of many sitcoms. The humour can be quite subtle in places, in other places just plain off the wall but if you manage to get in tune with this show then every episode will have you crying with laughter.

I initially bought the 2007 reprint of the paperback, when I got to page 250 there were 50 pages of reprint (page 91-139) in place of 251-299 which was really annoying because its a very good book.

Amazon's great customer service have replaced the book.

The book itself is an excellent debut from an exciting new author. I would give it 4 stars, but the inconvenience of having to wait has knocked off a star.

I was introduced to Jojo Mayer via youtube, and some quite staggering footage of demonstrations by him at conventions, so when I heard this dvd was coming out it was a must buy for me.

The best thing about this dvd is that it allows you to deconstruct your playing technique and add new techniques to your repertoire whilst not really taking away your drumming individuality in a way that some dvd's can.

He also holds nothing back either, he shows you everything you need to know about a technique, there is no "hiding" of the most important bits, that I have found annoying in some other instructional video's. You can tell that his primamry motivation for this was to… Read more
