Anybody that is a fan of puts would know that you could guarantee this would be a 5 star effort without even listening to it first. They have an amazing ability to consistantly produce fantastic albums, and from my experience, they are the only modern hip-hop group that are able to do this, save for maybe the roots. I would say this is a pretty mellow cd, slightly slower pace than fun dmc, however the upbeat 'trippin' at the disco' is fantastic, and even after one listen can say this is already one of my favourite songs by the puts, and the video for this is hilarious. do yourself a favour and pick this cd up and show some support for two guys that remind me why I still love hip-hop. cheers… Read more

I was slightly nervous abut getting this album. I love Chali 2na, he is my favourite from J5, however when group as good as j5 split up, you have to wonder if they can even get close with a solo effort (q tip? even though his new album is awesome, check it out). On an early listen to this, i would say it not only comes close, but i would even put it on par with the fantastic power in numbers. if you miss j5,get this album. A great effort

The main culprit of rap becoming so mind numbingly bad, 11 Aug 2005

im only 18, and there was a time when i listened to 'gangsta' rap. i listened to NWA, dre, cube, snoop, 2pac, biggie etc etc, and they werent bad, in fact, they were awesome. i still listen to it from time to time. but what the hell is this. this is terrible. my taste in rap/hip hop has changed now and i listen to old skool, and believe me, that is where the talent is. yes u heard me 'talent'. i cant understand why people like this, it is depressing. i seriously wish he would have 'died trying'. if this review would change the opinion of at least one person then i would be happy. anybody who wants to know where it all started, listen to pete rock, biz markie, big daddy kane, heavy d, brand… Read more
