When i first discovered Firelight it was the cover that immediatly drew me in. Its perfect for the story and immediatly tells the viewer about the main character Jacinda who has totally captured me. Sophie Jordans writing is perfect and i love the fact that Firelight is something new and different. The idea of dragons being able to shapeshift into humans and therefore becoming this new species which as a reader i have not encountered yet? Has just memorized me. The angst is this book is also something i havnt encountered yet which is a total breath of fresh air for the YA paranormal romance genre. The only bad thing i have to say is the beginning was fast pace and then the story got a… Read more
Captivate (Need Pixies, Book 2) by Carrie Jones

Captivate is another fantastic read! Again the cover and title link in with the story just like NEED. The characters are still the same but Zara has grown. She's alot more confident and can kick ass just as much as the were's and pixies which makes me love her ever more. In Captivate we are also introduced to a couple more characters which adds to the drama and love for this story! Within these characters we see a couple more mytholigcal creatures which could have made the story fall apart because of all the information but it didnt! The story has also developed because we see kindness from this race which questions the theory that all pixies are evil! Captivates pace was also just the same… Read more
Need by Carrie Jones
Need by Carrie Jones
8.5/10

Review: NEED is a fantastic read. The cover itself Entices you in and very cleverly links into the book as does the title which i think is very clever. Once i started reading i was hooked. The steady pace of NEED was exactly right, becoming faster when the story required. The idea of bad pixies is also original and fun as well as including weres of all different shapes, and sizes. This shows that Carrie Jones has guts and is not afraid to take risks which is what makes a brilliant author. It also adds to the magic of this book. The only bad thing about NEED is certain aspects were predictable However these aspects were balenced out with total surprise and suspense… Read more
